a.) what is your blog title/link and when did it erupt?

My blog is called Roots, Wings & Other Things. I started this blog as a newlywed, just after moving to Frankfurt, Germany with my husband. I married very young (18 years old!) and the title was born because of our “blended” married life; I wanted to put down roots, to hang up pictures and pick our paint colors and learn how to use a crock pot – but I also wanted to continue traveling, to see, smell and taste new things and live every day with a love and lust for the life I am living. Hence my blog name: Roots, Wings & Other Things. You can find me here.

b.) what inspired you to start blogging and what inspires you to this day to keep writing?

Blogging began as a way to stay connected with my family as I lived thousands of miles away, in Germany. It became so much more than that – a way to share ideas and opinions with hundreds of amazing people all over the world. I blog for myself, yes, but it’s being part of a community that truly inspires me.

c.) what is your blogging about? tell us your personality and how you write your posts! do you tell it like it is or are you a little more discrete.

I have given up attempting to find a specific blog “niche.” My “niche” is called “Me!” I love to write about travel, about fashion, about food, about crafts…why settle for just when category when you can write about them all? Oh, and when I’m writing about my life I definitely tell it like it is.

d.) how do you feel about “networking”

I LOVE networking! I love social media and am so fascinated by how it completely dissolves borders – the internet is a GLOBAL network, and ideas can be shared across the world in half an instant. I love meeting other bloggers from other places and learning about their lives!

e.) obviously you are blogging for you, but would you {or do you} blog for business? would you like to turn your daytime blogging into your fulltime career?

Yes! One far off day in the future I would love to be self employed, working as an event and wedding planner by day and a blogger by night! (Or perhaps the other way around!)

How can you not read this blog and be inspired? She makes me want to redecorate every facet of my life.

I love reading this blog. It is down to earth and full of good advice, great tutorials, and inspiring messages of faith.
