Canvas Effect Pic Monkey
Hey Blogger Buds! Since our famous picnik is no longer available and some of you still don’t know about Pic Monkey, we thought we’d invite you in on some FREE editing FUN! First of all, who doesn’t love monkey’s eh? What an awesome name! I have been testing this site out for a little bit and thought it would be great to bring some themes into our Photography Challenges each week. If you’re not a member of this group, head over and join us in some rad photography editing and sharing!
Each week we’ll add a new topic/theme to create some fun looks on Pic Monkey or any other editing software you may have! Or just upload your totally awesome pics, we’d love to see either way!
Head over to Pic Monkey, you’ll immediately see this:
Click on Edit a Photo or Create a Collage over there on the left to GET STARTED.
I chose the edit a photo for this post: and then i like to click that bottle that my arrow is pointing to:
I like to play with a variety of effects in this section before I choose my finishing touches.
For this photo, I went to:
Poloroid Film, Tranquil, Dusk
Now I’ve created a gorgeous vintage effect:
Now click on the first icon to get back to basic editing. I like to then fiddle with the exposure.
To Get this effect I did this:
Now remember to play until you get the effects you like.
After I create this effect, I head back to that second icon to choose the
Daguerreotype (my favorite option), then click the third top icon in there called PLUMBE and Fade 31%
Then I choose Poloroid Film once again, Intrepid and fade that to 27%, Go to Focal Soften and I just picked around the flower head of the smaller flower, then go to fancy focus.
I then play with the left sidebar some more choosing the patch on the very bottom:
and then weave (play with each of them, they are fun!)
i happened to choose the circled weave to give it a canvas look!
and then i like to finish off with a border:
in order to get the sizing perfect for my width of these posts, i go back to basic edits at the top and resize, giving me my final outcome:
have fun editing with pic monkey and if you create something totally radical like this, please share–we’d love to feature!

I had NO idea this program existed! Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!
